On January 31 2024, the heads of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Mike Johnson and informed him about the state of affairs and the critical needs of Ukraine in defending its independence from Russian aggression.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Meeting of Representatives of the Christian Churches of Ukraine, Senior Bishop of the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, Anatoliy Kozachok, handed over to Speaker M. Johnson a joint letter from the heads of the Christian Churches of Ukraine, which was adopted at the meeting of the heads of Ukraine’s Christian Churches on January 10 of this year.

In the letter, the leaders of the Ukrainian Churches call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives M. Johnson to "continue supporting the struggle of the Ukrainian people for liberty, independence, and freedom of religion with your wisdom and all other possible means, including the weapons, that our defenders at the forefront of freedom and democracy so lack , in particular, those weapons for which the political and military leadership of Ukraine is asking."

The meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress was attended by Anatoliy Kozachok, Senior Bishop of the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, Valerii Antoniuk, Head of the All-Ukrainian Union of the Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists, Stanislav Nosov, President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ukraine, and Pavlo Unguryan, a People's Deputy of Ukraine of several convocations.

Delegation of Ukrainian religious leaders, which included representatives of the Evangelical Churches of Ukraine and representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, took part in the events of the International Summit on Religious Freedom, the National Prayer Breakfast of the USA and the Ukrainian Week held in Washington D.C. (USA) from January 30 to February 3 rd this year.
