IRF Statement at OSCE Conference on Combating Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians

Churches and religious organisations are an integral part of civil society and must, with secular organisations, take part in the life of society. National authorities should take more account of religious communities’ potential to work for dialogue, mutual recognition and solidarity.
PACE Recommendation 2080 (2015) Freedom of religion and living together in a democratic society
The Parliamentary Assembly consequently recommends that the Committee of Ministers set up a stable an officially recognised platform for dialogue between the Council of Europe and senior representatives of religions and non-denominational organisations.
